Black Morticia. That's a first. Cold, calculating and tough as nails. Since I view this through the lens of criminal psychology I am keenly interested in WHICH Casey shows up everyday.IMO she has or has read the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual IV of Mental Disorders and is manifesting or mimicking the symptoms of a Dissociative Disorder. Her real or imaginary personalities are fascinating to watch. And I can't wait to view her in person if and when this trial starts.
Ciao for now, crim 310https://www.blogger.com/profile/11625978783432685608noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6757696342634699253.post-73301137816561908672011-05-18T19:25:29.486-07:002011-05-18T19:25:29.486-07:00zanax 25, I know what you mean about a plea deal. ...zanax 25, I know what you mean about a plea deal. The only one I could see offered by the prosecution would have to be LWOP to make me feel that there was true justice for Caylee.

GeeMama, From what I have heard tonight, it would seem that this is not an unusual way to select a jury.

The big problem with doing voir dire the way Baez wanted it is that they can't do any type of group voir dire because the potential jurors could contaminate each other with their knowledge about the case.

It's too bad Baez didn't file a motion well before concerning the procedure, though. I thought that today was a bit late to want to change things up.

Let's hope we find out what is going on tomorrow morning!ritanitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01798894468241676294noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6757696342634699253.post-19005993003133597202011-05-18T18:47:05.288-07:002011-05-18T18:47:05.288-07:00Don't think I'm pro-defense but some of ho...Don't think I'm pro-defense but some of how the jury selection is being done is somewhat unorthodox so I can see why the defense would be objecting, this is the defense's job. However Judge Perry is excellent and knows that he needs to get a jury in place, moved and sequestered pronto because of risk of jury tampering. Perhaps it is just a personal problem Baez has to take care of. I just can't see it being a plea deal.GeeMamanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6757696342634699253.post-84187574175486986252011-05-18T15:57:30.406-07:002011-05-18T15:57:30.406-07:00Would hate this to be a plea deal. Which begs the question, why would she cry about a motion on the jury? Would Bozo being sick make her sad? So that leaves the other three options. She might cry about losing the judge because it could seriously delay the trial (maybe she doesn't want to sit in jail another year without a resolution, who knows?). She could be crying if she kicked Bozo to the curb, that might be emotional (like a breakup, but not, but then I'm not crazy like KC). She would definitely cry over a plea deal.

This whole thing about Bozo being sick? That doesn't ring true at all. He might be PLAYING sick to delay jury selection to delay the trial to delay the inevitable. With Bozo, anything is possible. But he's not sick.Darcyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08173003016148709101noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6757696342634699253.post-35892068398225434802011-05-18T12:47:38.054-07:002011-05-18T12:47:38.054-07:00I just feel there is more to this issue than a law...I just feel there is more to this issue than a lawyer being sick. Defense knows they only had this afternoon, tomorrow and Saturday to pick a jury. Another lawyer could've done what she did. I am also glad the potential juror was dismissed. I didn't have a real good feeling about him either.TigressPenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10486657532479733143noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6757696342634699253.post-8677331142264875172011-05-18T12:27:48.416-07:002011-05-18T12:27:48.416-07:00So glad I came across this blog! Theorizing that if there was motion filed, there would be no ruling before 8:30 am. However, if it was negotiations for a deal, then the judge has given them til the morning to come back to him. Interesting anyway. thank you for all of your coverage.
TessAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6757696342634699253.post-23619254947695599192011-05-18T10:52:37.282-07:002011-05-18T10:52:37.282-07:00Ritanita,
