There are some brief reports being released that a jaw bone (or portions of a jaw bone?) were found washed up on a beach where Natalee Holloway was last seen. "Bone material" has been sent to the National Forensics Institute in the Hague, Netherlands by the Aruba prosecutor's office where it will undergo analysis to first determine if it is human. If the material is human, it could take up to a week to attempt to develop a DNA profile.
If, (and that's a big if at this point) this piece of bone is indeed Natalee Holloway, would this "finally" be the evidence Aruba authorities would need to charge Joran van der Sloot with her murder? Hopefully, we will have some news next week.
As many of you know, Joran is in a Peruvian prison awaiting trial in the murder of Stephany Flores.

Joran van der Sloot: Under Suspicion of Murder... AGAIN
Joran van der Sloot, (of missing Natalee Holloway fame) has been in the news the last few days. He was on the run from murder charges in Lima, Peru, for the stabbing death of Stephany Flores Ramirez, but just moments ago, news broke that he has been captured in Santiago, Chile.

CNN.Crime is reporting:
An appeals court in Aruba has ruled that a Dutch college student should not be rearrested in the disappearance of U.S. teenager Natalee Holloway.
But the investigation remains open, prosecutor Dop Kruimel told The Associated Press on Friday.
The Court of Appeal announced Thursday "its decision to uphold the refusal by the investigating judge to order pre-trial detention" of Joran van der Sloot.
I think any hope of justice for Natalee is long gone. What does it take in Aruba to go after someone? Evidently, it takes more than a confession on video tape. Although the investigation remains open I feel that is of little consolation to Beth Twitty. Unless van der Sloot goes directly to the police and confesses, or Holloway's body is found I think this investigation is permanently stalled. Does anyone out there know if the waters around Aruba are still being searched? The Court of Appeal announced Thursday "its decision to uphold the refusal by the investigating judge to order pre-trial detention" of Joran van der Sloot.

Natalee Holloway: Joran van der Sloot Questioned and Released
Joran van der Sloot was finally questioned by authorities for two hours in Aruba. He's still insisting he didn't have anything to do with Natalee's disappearance. He was questioned and released. Yep. That's right. Joran van der Sloot is still walking around a free man after confessing on video tape that Natalee died in his presence and a friend helped him dispose of her body. This case has always been a perfect example of LE totally forkin' up an investigation.
FoxNews reported:
Van der Sloot, who was accompanied by a lawyer, claimed he was under the influence of marijuana when he said in a secretly taped video that he was with Holloway when she died and that he had a friend dump her body at sea, the prosecutor's office said.
He was not taken into custody.
We are seeing this type of excuse more and more these days. "I was high." Is this the same defense that Bobby Cutts's attorney's will present on Monday to counter the testimony by Myisha Ferrell? She was high when she was with Cutts so she really doesn't know what he said or did?
If you've seen the latest interviews with Natalee's mother Beth, she has stated that Joran's behavior on the undercover tape, is exactly the same behavior she experienced from this young man when she first met him in Aruba almost three years ago. Cocky, arrogant and totally unconcerned about Natalee's fate. Don't you find it amazing that Joran said on that tape that he was able to go to sleep that night? That speaks volumes to this man's moral compass. Joran is not a sociopath in the making; he's already there.

Natalee Holloway: What do you believe happened?
I haven't had the opportunity to see the Peter R. de Vries undercover investigation show for myself. I've just see snippets advertizing the show, and I happened to see Greta Van Susteren's show on Fox this evening.
What I found most troubling was the fact that quite early on in the investigation, Aruban LE kept asking Beth and Jug Twitty if Natalee had ever had any seizures. Very early on. And here, two and a half years later, Joran is telling a "friend" that Natalee went into some kind of seizure and died on him during sex. Now how ironic is that? What are the odds that Aruban LE would just by innocent coincidence, ask Beth and Jug that? I'd say astronomical.
It leads me to believe that very early on in the investigation, Joran told LE this story about what happened to Natalee.
