Trial Date Set For Cesar Laurean
~Cesar Laurean
At a pretrial hearing today, DA Dewey Hudson and defense lawyer Dick McNeil agreed that a change of venue for the murder trial was necessary due to excessive publicity.
While Judge Charles Henry agreed to the change of venue, no location has been chosen. The trial is scheduled to begin June 18, 2010.
McNeill says the trial should take two to three weeks while Hudson is looking at a month.
Laurean is charged with murdering fellow Marine Maria Lauterbach and her unborn baby.

Donchais, thanks for the word on this trial. It is a long time coming. I'm just hoping it will be streamed.
The problem is that it will start during the second week of the Casey Anthony case and we know where the media will be.
Of course, we all know that trial dates have a way of being changed.
hey, who knows if either will go off on time?
Wow! Do they really think it's going to help by moving the trial? I live in NE and know all about this story! I'm sure people in all other states know about this too! Good luck to him! He'll be found guilty! He's a piece of crap!
