Phil Spector Verdict Notification

UPDATE: You must get your request in by 9:00 PM Pacific Time, or 12 midnight, ET, on March 31st, 2009. All requests submitted after that date will not make it on the list.

After many requests, I have relented and decided that I will send out a mass email as soon as a verdict is reached. To get on the list, here is what you need to do. Send me an E-mail through the blog. My E-mail address is on my profile page. In the subject line, you must write:

VERDICT WATCH REQUEST.

What I will do, is get an email ready in draft form and just keep adding emails to that list. When a verdict is reached, I'll send out that E-mail. All email addys will be under "Blind CC" so your email addy will not be shared with anyone else.

If you have a question, please leave a comment. I'm quite strapped for time right now, and I may not be able to answer your question via E-mail.

I can't stress to you how important it is to write "VERDICT WATCH REQUEST" in the subject line. I've received 75 requests just this morning to be added to the pending email list. These requests are mixed in with my regular E-mail I have to answer. Please understand that I don't have any way to do this automatically. I have to add all these email addy's manually to my draft E-mail.

On the right side of the blog, you will see a heading titled:

CONTRIBUTORS.

My hat name, Sprocket, is under that heading. Click on my hat name and it will take you to the profile page.

The link to the March 20th Talk Raido show doesn't work, I can't click on it. Is it just me? Any ideas.

Thanks for the great job.

If you think reasonable doubt has been created, you need to study harder or find a different profession.

While we are waiting for Sprocket's final summary of AJ's close, here is a link to LA Weekly's version thereof. Makes me look forward to the master's version thereof. http://blogs.laweekly.com/ladaily/full-court-press/phil-spector-trial-jurors-get/

Radio show interviews:

If a link doesn't work, I just haven't had the time to add it. You can get to any radio interview by going to the Talk Radio One website directly, and go to that individual day's listing. The link will be there.

I've received well over 100 requests so far to be added to the verdict watch email list. I woke up early this morning and thought I would be able to get some writing on the closings caught up, but I am manually, very slowly, copying and pasting each name into a document to copy into the draft email. This will take some time, so please be patient.

A law student can't see reasonable doubt has not been established at all. Perhaps you should change your profession before it is too late.

Verdict is guilty. I'm voting 1st. Put him behind bars for a long, long time.

Sprocket,
Will you send the email when you are notified a verdict is reached, or after the verdict is read?

Thank you so much for keeping us up to date.

I agree with Boston Law.

It's "regardless", not "irregardless."

Looking forward to your expert descriptions of Jackson's closing arguments. Haven't seen much of that elsewhere.

I just looked at the pictures of Phil taken in the courtroom this week. I'm betting his plastic sergeon isn't using Phil to advertise his work LOL.

According to Spector's biography, he received disfiguring facial and scalp injuries when he was thrown through a windshield; 300 stitches to his face, 400 stitches to the back of his head. He was so badly injured that they were about to declare him dead at the scene, when a police officer decided to check for a pulse anyway and found one.

This is when he became reclusive and also started wearing wigs.

His weird facial features are due to the severe injuries and all of the necessary surgeries.
