Dominick Dunne Given Last Rites

It's with sad news that I report Dominick Dunne has been given last rites. Please stop by Dominick's Diary and send your prayers and positive thoughts to Dominick and his family.

UPDATE:
I'm sure some have been wondering how I know this, since it hasn't been reported in the mainstream media. One of Dominick's good friends emailed me the information this morning. Dominick is surrounded by his family 24/7 now. He's mostly resting, and when he does wake up, his family is there to be with him.

We are losing an American treasure ... I so hoped he'd be the one to beat cancer.

I too had hoped he would triumph over his cancer. The world is losing a great advocate for victims of crimes. He will soon be rewarded with seeing his beloved daughter and welcomed home. Bless you Dominick and Godspeed.

I am so sorry to hear the news. I know that you and Dominick bonded over the Spector trial.

Godspeed, Dominick Dunne.

Thanks for informing us, I left a message on their site for him. He has been such a great asset to humanity, for justice, in excellent coverage and writing, for victim's rights. I wish him peace and to be surrounded with a lot of love and may his spirit be light.

Dominick Dunne's writings were very important to me. He was an influence in my becoming interested in the legal process.

Crime vitims may be losing a great advocate but I firmly believe they will be gaining an angel to watch over them... My thoughts and prayers with The Dunne Family and Dominick.

Hugs,

Thanks for the heads-up. I was able to get on his site and add a comment, with tears rolling. Didn't think it would affect me so strongly! And now Ole Ted, regardless of what one thought of him, it still feels like something has shifted under our feet today....

Thank you, Sprocket, for sharing this important news with us. We all love Dominick because of his wonderful talents. I am praying for a miracle, as we all are, I know. I've loved all his books, TV shows, Vanity Faire articles, and his general personal integrity. Please keep us informed. Thanks. Kay Coleman, a friend in Texas

Reading Dominic"s passing the first words out of my mouth were "Oh, no." We lost two good men today and we are the poorer for it, but, Heaven has been enriched. God speed to them both.

Dominick has not died. He's been at home, in his apartment in NYC since August 21st. His sons Alex and Griffin are with him 24/7 now.
