NBC Dateline has started a new spin-off series within their show called Unsolved Case Squad and Alan Jackson, Assistant Head Deputy of the Major Crimes Division, is one of the three-member squad! The first show kicks off this Friday at 10 pm. Be sure to watch everyone.
For those of you who are tired of only seeing Jackson in the old show about the Mickey Thompson murder, this is your chance!
Here is a detailed write up on the case.

It will be good to see him, altho' I wonder how he could possibly fit it into his schedule of late.
In the last entry, Kitty M. mentioned "Ash Wednesday". That's not today, it was back on Feb 25. (I used to live in New Orleans and that is the day after Mardi Gras, as well as the first day of Lent).

Be still, my heart! Two of my favorite subjects rolled into one!
Yes, I'll admit, I'm the one who stays up until 4:00 AM to watch yet another re-run of the Mickey Thompson case.
I had recorded the CBS 48 Hours program about the Mickey Thompson case and watched it again a few days ago. Perhaps NBC will do an hour-long Dateline about the Phil Spector case.

Hi David!
I don't believe that's what this show is about.
This is a whole new series Datline is doing about cold cases. Just like they have their "To Catch A Predator" series, this is a new series.
I know Mr. Jackson is one of the three-person panel on the show. From my understanding, it's not about Spector.
Sprocket,
I just did a search and found out that the show is about other cases. Since Alan Jackson is working for NBC, I was hoping there would be a show about the Spector case sometime in the near future on their regular Dateline program.
A subject they could get into is that of internet bloggers covering the case. Thanks again for going down and doing a verdict watch.

Woo Hoo !! Just marked it on my calendar. Don't want to miss it.
I love Alan Jackson! Can't wait to see the show!
Will there be deliberations today?
Thanks.
OHMIGOD!
A TV program with Alan Jackson! The hottest DA in town!
Hooray!
Keep up the good work, Sprocket!
The Hottest DA in town? How about the hottest DA in the whole dang country!
I can't wait for this to air! Like RN said - two of my favorite subjects rolled into one! There is no doubt in my mind that it's going to be an excellent show!
Thanks for giving us the heads up Sprocket!

LOL.... It's another "Be still my heart" !!!
I'm so excited.... LOVE... LOVE... LOVE Alan Jackson... !!!
And.... I agree with other posters... It would be wonderful if Dateline would do a show about your coverage of so many trials, especially the Spector debacle !!
