Judge Halverson’s Husband Cops a Plea

~Ed Halverson

Ed Halverson pleaded guilty in court this morning to beating her.

Halverson entered an Alford plea that means he does not admit guilt, but understands there is sufficient evidence to convict him.

The plea is to one count of battery with a deadly weapon with substantial bodily harm.

Prosecutors agreed to drop the charge of attempted muder.

Halverson told the judge, David Barker, he has no recollection of the incident.

Sentencing is scheduled for December 12 and Halverson will likely be sentenced from three to ten years in prison.

Dang! I was looking forward to a trial!

Oh well, he did get a good deal. Can't blame him for taking it.

This was probably the best deal he was going to get.

On the other hand it's my opinion she was a complete nightmare to live with. Ed will be safe for a few years and I'd love to hear if she visits him in prison.

This is a good deal for Mr. Ed, especially with his past felonious conduct. Obviously, the prosecution knew they had their hands full with Little Liz and that she's less than familiar with the truth. Come on, who in the world can figure out that 911 tape? Both of them sounded like they were on drugs. Talk about about wackos. Well, at least Mr. Ed will be safe behind bars for a few years, away from the Misses and hopefully will be able to regain his self-respect. I feel sorry for the person or persons, now left to care for The Judge. You know she'll never return to work (full or part-time) and will demand 24/7 attendant care. I'm sure a prison term is better than living with The Judge. In fact, Mr. Ed probably feels he's on vacation.
